Blackwood Educational Land Institute is a 33-acre teaching farm on a mission to model the indispensable role of regenerative food systems in all our lives. By integrating natural systems, healthy communities, and animal welfare, together we can co-create better ways to grow and source food. Join us on our Open Farm Days every Saturday starting Jan. 13th for a day full of fun, food, and learning. Farm fresh meals, refreshing beverages, and pastries will be available from our Executive Chef Cade Conlon. Tours will be provided by our CEO and founder Cath Conlon.
Our Farm Stand will be open every Saturday, offering chef-curated meals that feature ingredients sourced directly from our farm. We have collaborated with other local farmers to provide an authentic farm-to-plate experience. In addition to our delicious food options, we will also have a diverse selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages available for your enjoyment.
Stroll through the gardens, woods, and prairies with one of Blackwood’s staff members and learn about our seasonal highlights. We’ll share our favorite spots, visit the farm animals, and discuss how Blackwood is working toward modeling a closed loop food system.
